Your game was part of the fourth TEM Indie Game Contest I hosted and despite being a type of game I don't usually play you won the contest and earned a donation.
As for the game itself:
• The manual was well done and although the puzzles through me for a loop sometimes I really enjoyed putting in the time to figuring out how certain things functioned. Instead of feeling frustrated or annoyed I felt like the atmosphere of the game really helped drive me to finding solutions and having a ton of fun with it.
• The art style and graphics are really well done and just add to the sense of tension the game creates. I know it isn't something that should add to this but the fact that when you look to the right you are at ground level and when you look to the left you are elevated really added a lot to the feel to me. It just makes you wonder through visual cues alone what could be below you or where you even are. The office setting feels cozy at first but as the timer counts down and the puzzles get more complex the room feels like it's shrinking in on you instead of being a safe haven.
• The sound design was really well done, especially the voice acting during the phone calls. Nothing felt out of place and in the end it did give you a sense there is a world existing outside of your little office.
• The horror was really well paced during my experience. I saw a decent range of different types of things to be afraid of, all of which made me more curious about what was going on in the game world.
• The puzzles themselves were fantastically done. There was a great variety of challenges to discover and figure out so it kept the game from getting boring. You really were creative in what you could with the puzzles and I appreciate all the time and effort you must have had to put in to decide what types of puzzles to use in the end.
overall it was a really great experience and I feel like it definitely deserved to win the contest. Thank you once again for all the hard work and time you have put into this game. I am excited to see where the final product goes. Especially when it comes to learning more about Sig.
Congratulations on the win and keep doing your best with Hate You.
How the NUM_PHONE works? I have tried everything that makes sense to me but nothing works, even a brute force with all the numbers I tried but nothing seems to work. The game seems to be really good but I cant play it because I just cant find out how to solve this puzzle, I think it is bugged so if you can explain to me how to solve it would be great. Thank you!
